I found out that there was a hack attack called a "Denial of Service" attack on the data centers that house our server.. I had got off for the day to go take a much needed nap, when I got back on, the servers had been attacked and some people had been without their servers all day. A denial of service attack (DDoS from now on), is much like when you're trying to over stuff you're face with cake, it just wont all fit if the cake is too big for your face, so we take smaller bites to swallow it easier. Data in the internet is much like that, it don't all fit down the line as they all very in shape and size, So, our computers use forks to help them digest the data easier. When they get over run with too much data, thats a DDoS attack, of sorts. When a hacker targets you to do it intentionally, that's what we call it. So the data center was being attacked by a group of Chinese hackers from the looks of it. Just how it looks, that's where the origin of the trace runs back to. The hackers ended up causing a lot of damage and our servers was one of them. It just happened to be mid-update, and because it didn't get that update finished, it messed up our server bad. half a update pretty much took out our server! Sorry for the update being late about this, I wanted to make sure everything was factual before just commenting about it. So, we pretty much was attacked and hacked, being a man in the middle. LOL, can't help but laugh at the irony. I did manage to backup the server worlds. We will start again, I'm working on it tonight. I have no idea what mods and all plugins I had on the server, so it might be buggy. We will turn the artworks we make into schematics and place them back, but the worlds might be too buggy and lost to just simply reuse again. I am taking action against this and will be better prepared for this, by locking down the server and turning off auto updates. I will also be putting out on social media that I'm looking for some staffers and people to come play with us. They will all be over 18, and will be well behaved lol, maybe sometimes. Even us adults like to be fun, sometimes :P
